A wonderful and very rare, adult-sized bentwood rocking chair. This superb piece bears a maker’s label and date underneath:
"November 1st 1889 / Simeon Barker, Cabinet maker and upholsterer, Gibbet Hill and Hall Street Halifax"
It’s absolutely lovely to have this added provenance. We cannot find another chair like this in anything larger than doll size.
 
This rare, stylish and remarkably contemporary chair would look beautiful in any settling.
