This quirky fairground moon is full of character and would make a real statement piece for a home, loft conversion, business or hotel.
The imposing crescent moon, originally on the top of a tower drop-ride called a 'Rocket Ride', has been given a new lease of life by master restorer, Nick Elphick (As seen on salvage_hunters on discoveryplusuk). Surface cracks have been carefully repaired using a fibreglass and resin mix, then delicately re-painted.
The piece was destined for the skip after the ride failed technical regulations, but after a full lighting restoration, as well as the introduction of a motor, it can now rotate and dazzle, as a true piece of fairground memorabilia.
