Antique velvet original Knole drop arm sofa in beautiful used condition.
The Knole style sofa was common in aristocratic households.
This beautiful old Knole sofa is truly lovely and worn but retains its original chic style. It is very comfy with new feather pad seats and is covered in faded and worn emerald velvet cotton cloth.
The original horsehair and natural wool fibre wadding remains underneath and would be very easy to re upholster should you so choose but is perfectly lovely and useable as it is.
Both sides are hinged and come down easily, supported by tiebacks. The finials are original and have not been re covered. They just screw into the main frame. On black painted Bun feet.
The sofa is a large two seater and measures 175cms wide. 80 cms deep and 100 cms high (excluding finials).
This is a beautiful piece of furniture and just gets better the older it gets.
This is a substantial solid piece of furniture and is perfect for snuggling up with a book.
