This is a delightful 1930’s Bergere 2Seater Settee With Lift Off Mid Cream Brocade Seat, has three slightly curved back legs, three decorative front legs supported with five elegant turned stretchers.
 
Standing 91cm high to top of back, 44cm high to top of cushion, 110cm wide, 66cm high to top of arm finials and has a depth of 58cm
 
Considering it’s age of over 80 years old, the settee in very good sturdy condition, comfortable to sit on, the patina of the wood is lovely highlighting the grain of the wood, no evidence of woodworm, overall the settee does display signs of age and use but nothing to distract from its beauty.
 
The lift off seat has two dowels to secure in place and fits well, the seat has a spring effect possibly with a horse hair interior. The mid cream brocade fabric is intact with no splits, holes or stains.
 
The Bergere back and sides are totally intact with no fragile areas, splits or holes.
